Melrose Residence, Los Angeles, California, 2007
One of my early projects for dear friends, tackling a small, tricky urban site. The design uses native plants to create a vibrant, drought-tolerant garden that feels open and inviting without turning its back on the neighborhood. By carefully shaping the front yard, it provides the owners with usable outdoor space while maintaining a gracious connection to the sidewalk and community.
