MARIO BENITO LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

18th Century Residence

Restoration of 18th Century Residence, Washington, Connecticut, 2019

A careful restoration and landscape redesign honoring the site’s agrarian past. The project maintained expansive views of the grazing meadow on the hill and preserved historic dry-stacked stone walls, reinforcing a strong sense of place while thoughtfully updating the grounds to complement the historic home and its rural surroundings. A highlight of the project was the design and installation of a custom fountain in the owner’s private garden, adding an elegant and personal focal point.
